Class Mission Statement
We will come to school everyday to learn, make new friends, work together and reach our goals. We will follow all rules so that everyone is safe and has a SUPER DAY!
First Grade Goals
Reading Fluency
Students will read 60-80 words per minute on an unrehearsed reading passage once a month.
You can help your child with this goal by reading every day and making sure he or she knows the sight words taught each month.

Math Challenge
Students will score an 80% or higher by correctly solving 30 addition/subtraction problems in 2 minutes.
You can help your child reach this goal by using flashcards to solve addition and subtraction problems and using the counting on strategy (put larger number in head and count on from there) to increase speed.
